Closed proximal 3rd left femur fracture

These are xray of 27 year old men alleged motor vehicle accident. Severe pain over left proximal thigh.

From xray show simple transverse fracture at ithmus area. No evidance of fracture involving neck of femur or knee area.

Due to fracture was quite proximal patient was plan for recon nail.

This is post operative check xray.

Closed supracondylar fracture of right femur 24 Feb 2014

71 years old malay lady, alleged fall at home due to slippery floor. She is a known case of diabetic mellitus and hypertension.

She sustained closed supracondylar fracture of right femur. Tha xray show spiral type of fracture extending from supracondylar area till midshaft femur. Luckly there was no intercondylar split.

Usually in my center, a long distal femoral locking plate will be choose for this kind of injury. This time I use retrograde nail (DFN synthese). In additional to that, I put circlage wire to prevent opening up in fracture gap.

This is the xray of 53 old malay lady... fall on out streched hand...
She sustained closed fracture distal end of right radius...

From post cmr(close manual reduction) xray it was not acceptable... ulna plus... reduced radial height less than 5mm... radial inclination less than 23 degree.. from lateral view show the diatal end radius split into dorsal and volar fragment...

She was planned for buttress plating of right radius with iliac bone graft...

Anyone care to critic post operative xray?
